Hophurst's range of ales serve up a diversity of flavours created to suit the discerning taste of all palettes. Traditional and new world hops, malted barley, water and yeast are combined with innovative and artisan ingredients to create unique beers with definable character and exquisite taste. Designed for the art of conversation a Hophurst beer is best enjoyed in great company; light session beers for long afternoons, luxurious stouts for philosophers and debaters, golden bitters for old acquaintances or seasonal and speciality beers for nights that live long in the memory.
Cosmati is a hoppy citrus golden ale. The use of Mosaic American hops give the unique flavours of blueberry, citrus and tropical fruit and will leave you wanting more. Cosmati is a great complement to pizza, pasta and even steak and chips.
Joust is a refreshing citrus pale ale. The use of English hops at key stages of the brewing process has created a well rounded ale with flavours of spice, citrus and zesty orange. Joust is a great complement to white meat and fish dishes.
An English pale golden ale. The use of East Kent Golding hops give a fresh, earthy hoppy aroma with hints of honey and a long refreshing finish. Flaxen is an easy drinking session ale and a great complement to chicken, white fish dishes and even Indian curries. Best enjoyed with friends on long summer days and evenings.
A luxurious robust stout with flavours of roasted coffee, liquorice and an aftertaste of pleasant bitterness. Debonair goes well with beef, lamb and game dishes that harmonise with its rich flavours. Perfect on cold winter days and nights in front of an open fire.
A golden bitter with citrus hoppy aromas of grapefruit and passion fruit from the Simcoe hops. Twisted Vine's distinctive hoppy flavours will swirl around your taste buds and tickle the senses. This is a modern hoppy bitter and is a great complement to white meat, pizza and pasta dishes.
A dark mild with a smokey malty taste that emits aromas of roasted coffee and chocolate. Campfire is all about the quality malted barley that give it its velvety finish. This is a modern twist on a traditional dark mild, and a perfect companion to beef, lamb and duck dishes. Enjoy any time with friends and family.
Under the tutorlage of our head brewer, Hophurst Breweries enterprise scheme will train and mentor eligible enrolees aged 50+ to re-skill and reinvigour this often overlooked sector of our workforce. The course will provide personal and social development support alongside the practical skills aquired in the real world day-to-day running of the brewery. We help develop the transferable skills needed to improve the employment prospects of jobseekers, improve their confidence and self-esteem whilst creating new social networks and giving them the self-belief that they can still achieve career goals and contribute fully to society. Beneficiaries will have the chance to gain employment through the brewery or may move on to further training or employment elsewhere.
As a social enterprise we take our corporate responsibility very seriously. That's not to say we don't have a lot of fun making great beer!
In a similar way to Fair Trade, we believe that informed, educated purchasing can improve the social and environmental impact of beer manufacturing and trading. We support the Drinkaware campaign www.drinkaware.co.uk and passionately believe that beers are a natural long drink to be enjoyed responsibly, and that sensible drinking has a significant role to play in a healthy lifestyle and diet.
In choosing to purchase our products, consumers are able to make an informed decision to support the positive impact of social enterprise production and profit use to minimise the harm of alcohol misuse.
